Copper Recycling
Nine technologies utilizes state-of-the-art technology for copper cable recycling. We efficiently process a wide range of recyclable raw materials, recovering individual metals in an environmentally responsible manner that conserves natural resources.
Approximately 10,000 tons of recyclable materials of varying qualities and compositions are processed annually at our facilities. The recycling process begins with reliable material acceptance and assessment, including precise chemical analysis and preparation, followed by pyrometallurgical and hydrometallurgical processing. It concludes with the fabrication of high-quality end products.
Types of copper we process
DROID Droid – Insulated Copper Wire Scrap, This grade consists of No.2 copper wire with various types of insulation. The average copper recovery yield from these copper cables ranges between 40% and 50%.
CANDY Candy – No.1 Heavy Copper Shall consist of Clean, Unalloyed, Uncoated Copper Clippings, Punchings, Bus Bars, Commutator Segments and Clean Copper Tubing.
BARLEY Barley – Copper Wire shall consist of No.1 Bare, Uncoated, Unalloyed Copper Wire, not smaller than No.16 B and commonly known as Bare Bright Copper Wire.
BERRY Berry – No.1 Copper Wire Shall consist of Clean, Untinned, Uncoated, Unalloyed Copper Wire and Cable, not smaller than No.16 B & S wire gauge and free of brittle burnt wire.
CLIFF It is a No.2 copper Scrap wire/ pipes with Copper Content of 94% to 96% as determined by electrolytic assay . It should be free from excessively leaded, Soldered Copper Wire, Brass wire, Bronze Wire, excessive oil, non-metallics , brittle burnt wire and ash.
DRUID Druid – Insulated Copper Wire Scrap Shall consist of No.1 Bare, Uncoated, Unalloyed Copper Wire, not smaller than No.16 B & S Wire Gauge with various types of insulation.

  • OUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Sustainability:The Copper Recycling has become international and has grown significantly over the past decade. We embrace the challenges that come with this expansion. Sustainable practices are a core component of our corporate strategy.
Copper Products: Through the use of advanced copper recycling machines, modern copper granulation processes, and high-efficiency operations—combined with close cooperation with our customers—we deliver 99.9% pure copper products to clients worldwide.
Climate Protection: Our Copper Recycling production processes utilize state-of-the-art, energy-efficient technology and adhere to the highest environmental standards to help preserve a clean environment for future generations.
Recycling : Copper is an ideal raw material for reprocessing. As a non-ferrous metal, it can be recycled repeatedly without any loss of quality. This allows copper of the highest purity to be produced time and again from recycled materials.
Employees: Our success is built on the performance and dedication of our employees. Ensuring occupational safety and health protection is our highest priority. Our goal is to prevent workplace accidents and illnesses while creating a healthy and supportive work environment.
Source: We source raw materials from around the world and apply the same high standards throughout our entire value chain that we uphold for our products.
    COPPER RECYCLE PROCESS
  • Sorting and Cleaning: Once a sufficient amount of copper is collected, it is essential to sort and clean the material. Copper is found in various forms—including wires, cables, pipes, and sheet metal—and should be sorted by type to facilitate efficient processing. Removing dirt, grease, and other contaminants is crucial, as these impurities can interfere with the recycling process.
  • Shredding: The sorted copper is then shredded or broken down into smaller pieces using a shredder or hammer mill. This step helps to increase surface area for easier separation and further processing.
  • Granulating:Copper scrap wires are first crushed by a primary crusher into pieces approximately 10 mm in size. This mixture is then processed by a secondary crusher to reduce the particle size to about 3–5 mm. The copper is subsequently separated from the plastic insulation using an air separator.
  • Melting and Casting: The shredded copper is melted in a high-temperature furnace to purify it and eliminate any remaining impurities. After melting, the copper is graded based on purity, size, and type. The molten copper is then poured into molds to form ingots or other desired shapes. This casting process not only defines the final form but also enhances the mechanical properties of the metal.
  • Cooling and Solidifying: Once cast, the copper is cooled and solidified, making it ready for use in new products such as pipes, wires, rods, sheets, and electronic components. This stage is typically carried out by specialized copper recycling facilities equipped with the necessary technology.
  • Refining: Refining involves further purifying the copper to achieve its purest form. This process includes re-melting copper scrap (e.g., wires or pipes) and removing impurities like plastic, insulation, and other metals. A flux such as borax is used to bind and remove these impurities during the refining stage. Professional copper recyclers are best equipped to carry out this process, ensuring the recycled copper meets high quality standards for reuse.
